Working at Camp Wright requires teamwork, flexibility and a sense of humor.
What if I need special training or

Camp Wright will assist staff in obtaining specific training or
certifications as activity instructors or lifeguards. Prior to the start
of camp, all staff members participate in a week of orientation and training to
prepare for their duties. Participation is mandatory.
What is Camp Wright life like for resident camp staff?
Most sessions run for seven days. Resident Camp staff live
in cabins with 6 - 10 campers. Staff facilitate and lead small group
activity blocks and large
group events. Counselors have 2 hours off each day and 1 - 3 days off
between sessions. Staff can stay on site or leave camp on their days
off. Laundry, internet, phone and lounge facilities are available on site.
What is the Day Camp schedule like?
Each session runs fromMonday
to Friday, 9am - 4pm. Staff are assigned to before and after care
responsibilities on a rotating basis: 7:30am - 9pm/4-5:30pm. Day Camp
counselors lead and facilitate large and small group activities throughout the
day.
What is Middle School
Adventure?
Each session runs from 9am-4pm Monday thru Friday.
Each week there are several off campus adventures: rock climbing, outdoor
education facilities, ropes courses and visits to Assateague and other coastal
areas. Middle School Adventure hosts between 12 and 15 sixth through eighth
graders each session. MSA staff must have valid driver's licenses and clean
driving records.
